‘Elanna’ depicts the mirrored silhouette of a woman’s face in profile, her hair piled up in a chignon to expose her elegant neck. As if the double portraits have been snipped from the white-shaded background, Agent X has created the illusion of a cut-out, to reveal a Baroque, floral painting underneath. With its bold composition and its juxtaposition of the antique with the contemporary.

Agent X is a digital artist who often combines the ephemera of the past with the glossy world of contemporary magazines and newspapers, adding paint and other mixed media to create images that cleverly critique humanity’s current obsessions and where they are leading us.

Currently based in Vancouver, Agent X has exhibited in art meccas around the world including Singapore, Los Angeles, Germany, London, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, Spain, and Toronto.
