In 2017, co-founder Rawan Ita-Diaz was involved in an accident that changed the trajectory of her life and created mental, physical, and emotional barriers. Living with pain and isolation, she turned to art as a therapeutic outlet. As she began sharing her paintings, people from around the world connected with her story and saw pieces of their own lives in her art.

In 2020, as the world faced isolation and uncertainty during the global pandemic, co-founder, Nadin Said realized there was an opportunity to create a space for people who, like Rawan, needed connection, creative expression, and a safe place to heal.

That vision became The Art Spread.

Since then, Nadin and Rawan have connected with artists from around the world who use art to navigate mental, physical, and societal challenges. Their artwork carries their stories, and our platform gives them an opportunity to share their work, grow their careers, and connect with new audiences.

We also bring the power of art directly into communities through free and accessible art workshops, exhibitions, and community events. Whether someone considers themselves an artist or has never picked up a paintbrush, we create welcoming spaces where art can become a source of expression, connection, wellness, and hope.
