In this piece, I explore the struggle to overcome trauma and find hope in the darkest of times. The white space represents the promise of a brighter future, a beacon of light at the end of the tunnel. The blackness that threatens to consume it symbolizes the pain and darkness of my past, the weight of trauma that has held me back.

But amidst the shadows, a glimmer of color begins to emerge. These vibrant hues signify my own journey, my attempts to break free from the shackles of my past and reclaim my sense of self. The colors strain to push through the darkness, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of hope to overcome even the most daunting obstacles.

Through this piece, I invite the viewer to reflect on their own struggles and the darkness that may have defined their past. May the light that breaks through the cracks serve as a reminder that no matter how bleak the circumstances may seem, there is always a way forward, always a chance to rediscover the beauty and vibrancy of life.
