The inspiration to create the “Blue Fairy ” came after reading more about Modigliani who died at a young age of 35. Learning about him and his personal struggles, I pictured his muse, Jeanne Hebuterne, a gentle and kind fairy coming to watch over him for days to come.
Maryam Sedadi was born in Iran and moved to the United States when the Islamic revolution broke out. After graduating with a B.A. in Business Management from California State University, Long Beach, she started her career in banking as a young single mother while caring for her family and raising her son.
Inspired by elements of her Persian culture and heritage, Maryam draws inspiration from daily conversations, observations, lifelong memories and journeys of her life.
