‘Art That Transforms’ (September 2024)
Our recent event, the “Art That Transforms” exhibition and live art auction merged the worlds of community involvement and awareness of mental health. Our event brought the Orange County community together with an eclectic display of artwork from renowned artists. Guests were able to enjoy art masterpieces and be part of a spirited auction within which they could participate in bidding for rare pieces at affordable prices. Our event was funded in part by the City of Costa Mesa’s Arts Grant program and California Arts Council.
‘Deep Sea Painting’ Art-&-Adversity Awareness Workshop (July 2024)
The ‘Deep Sea Painting’ Workshop was an interactive event where participants explored the wonders of marine life through art. This workshop combined artistic creativity with environmental awareness. ‘Masterpeace’ K-12 Juried Art Show (May 2024)
The theme for this year’s show was “Drawing Strength, Love, and Life,” inviting students to express what peace means to them through their artwork. Students submitted their artwork by April 26th, 2024. All materials were accepted, with the only limitation being that the artwork could not exceed 20″x20″ inches in size. Three finalists from each

In the spirit of altruism and heartfelt gestures, we recently hosted an inspiring Instagram Live event hosted by Maryam Sedadi, known among her followers as @kimyacollection or the ‘Card Queen’.
‘Artful Giving’ Fundraiser (November 2023)
On November 11, local Santa Ana nonprofit organization, The Art Spread, hosted ‘Artful Giving’, a day to honor Veterans, come together to enjoy all things art, and enjoy French cuisine at local restaurant, Roquette Cafe.
‘Healing Through Art’ Exhibition + Fair (May 2023)
On May 20, 2023, local Santa Ana nonprofit organization, The Art Spread, hosted ‘Healing Through Art’, an art fair that promoted mental health awareness through creative exercises. The Art Spread’s mission is to lead artists with adversity to success and build a supportive environment for everyone struggling with mental, physical, and societal challenges. At ‘Healing Through Art,’ the fair welcomed everyone to experience accessible art, complimentary food and drink, and creative, holistic approaches to issues facing the community.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we hosted an IG Live Studio Session to recognize the achievements of women and raise awareness about issues relating to gender inequality.

The one and only Card Queen, Maryam Sedadi takes us inside the studio live on IG to help us craft one-of-a-kind and personalized cards just in time for Valentine’s Day-a time to celebrate romance, love, and all of the smitten googly-eyed-themed sentiments.
‘The Value of Homemade Gifts’ IG Live Studio Session (December 2022)
Multi-colored, flickering lights line the streets and homes during the holiday season; mimicking shimmering clusters of stars draping over the night. Christmas bulbs strung together set the mood for the time of year that we have all come to know as Christmas.
‘IMPACT’ Exhibition (November 2022)
On November 12, we hosted ‘IMPACT’ Exhibition at Gong Art Gallery in Newport Beach, CA. ‘IMPACT’ is a curated visual conversation influenced by art from adversity. Featuring 10 international artists, ‘IMPACT’ brings the community together to experience the power and purpose of art. The exhibition, like all of our events, was free to the public, hosted art auctions, and offered complimentary refreshments.
‘Social Anxiety’ Art-&-Adversity Awareness Workshop (September 2022)
The theory behind the use of artistic therapeutic expression suggests the use of art, drawing, painting, writing, sculpting, or otherwise can alleviate negative feelings associated with anxiety while also helping to form alliances and strengthen bonds between ourselves and others experiencing the same which aligns with The Art Spread’s mission on building a supportive community for everyone experiencing mental, physical, and societal challenges.
‘Nature + Perfectionism’ IG Live Studio Session
To read about an artist is to gain a deeper appreciation of their work, it allows us to absorb and understand the mystery behind their creativity. During our IG Live Studio Session, we get a glimpse into the mind of NYC Artist and Muralist, JD who started using art as an outlet to unleash the intensity of his imagination, a cathartic release to transform the intrusive ruminations of thought into a tangible aesthetic medium thereby making the invisible visible, a therapeutic approach in creating a welcoming reflection of his inner mind.

We want to thank everyone for attending our Brain Awareness Event on Saturday, June 19! We had such a good time learning about Multiple Sclerosis, strokes and brain conditions’ impact on art.
Mental Health Awareness Event (Updated May 2022)
We want to thank our attendees and special guests for joining the Mental Health Awareness – Art in the Park event. We talked about art therapy and how it is expressive and self-coping. We shared our experiences with mental struggles. Even historical and contemporary art icons experienced mental illnesses, anxiety and depression. Art is an incredibly powerful way to share how you feel without using a single word.
