A statement from Michelle…
From a young age, I have embraced art as a way of healing and overcoming negative life experiences. My journey through loss, PTSD, depression, and anxiety led me to the path of self-healing through art and music.
In the face of heartbreak and trauma, I found solace, strength, and a way to express my deepest emotions through creative outlets.
I discovered the ability to transform pain into something beautiful. Art became my therapeutic release and a means to uplift my spirit. My story is a testament to the healing power of art and music, proving that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of hope and a way to find inner peace. As a fluid artist, I have found working with the unpredictable processes associated with a fluid medium allows me to explore themes of adventure, transformation, renewal, and progress. Through my art, I seek to reveal the abstract beauty of struggle and to offer a reminder that hope perseveres.

“What is your latest piece/what are you currently working on?”
Mystic is my most recent piece and is currently one of my top favorites. It is not exactly what I was looking to achieve but the colors and the UV-A light effect of this piece I believe are breathtaking.
“What message are you trying to convey in your work?”
Art is for everyone, regardless of any limitations they may face. With determination and creativity, anyone can create something beautiful and meaningful. It is important to embrace our unique perspectives and experiences and use them to fuel our artistic expression. I hope to inspire others to tap into their own creativity and realize their full potential as artists.
“What are your three go-to materials for creating art?”
Acrylics, bright neon colors, and metallics, canvas, Elmer’s school glue. Those are the staples of my art pieces.
“Who is your biggest fan and supporter?”
Well, I must credit my boyfriend, Jeral Crawford first. He is always telling me I can do anything if I put my mind to it. I also must credit Bob and Lisa Warmuth who believe in me and love my work. Their faith in me gives me inspiration to keep creating and helps me believe in myself. Last but not least, Sherry Faust, who bought the first two pieces I ever sold, giving. a sense of validation. Together these four individuals hold a special place in my heart, and I do not think I would be where I am today if not for them.
“In your studio, do you listen to music or podcasts while you create? Or do you prefer silence? “
My life revolves around music. If there is not any music playing around me, you will find me humming or singing to myself.
